WHAT IS GMT?
GMT means Greenwich Mean Time. It is the same as London time in the winter. In the summer it is ONE hour before London time. It is also called UTC (Universal Time Code)
WHY IS GMT IMPORTANT?
GMT is very important because students are all in different time zones. We need to use ONE time zone that we can all refer to. That's GMT! So, when you know that the class is at, for example, 2 p.m. GMT, it doesn't matter where in the world you are -- you can know when it's time to come to the class!
