Here is the answer to the riddle in our Christmas newsletter about the man found naked in the desert with an unlit match near his hand:

The man in the desert was in fact travelling in a hot air balloon. Unfortunately, something had gone wrong with the system and he and his friends could see the ground nearing at great speed. They started throwing away every unnecessary element including their clothes. To no avail. In the end they decided to draw lots. Our poor man lost and jumped. So, now you know what caused his death and why he was found naked, an unburnt match near him.

Did you like that?! Here is another one:

Romeo and Juliet are found dead in a locked room on the tenth floor of a skyscraper. There is only a puddle in the middle of the room and the window is slightly open. Why?

Answer will be given in the next newsletter, so stay tuned :)

MAD's Math Puzzle

Here is something interesting that takes 30 seconds. Work this out as you read. Don't read the bottom until you have worked it out, OK!!!

First of all, pick the number of days a week that you would like to go out to dinner.

Multiply this number by 2.

Add 5.

Multiply it by 50.

If you have already had your birthday this year, add 1748.

If you haven't, add 1747.

Last step: Subtract the four digit year that you were born (for example 1952).

RESULTS:

You should now have a three digit number, the first digit of this was your original number (i.e. how many times you want to go out each week). The second two digits are your age!!! This is the only year it will ever work, so spread the joy around and amaze your friends.

Describe what you see when you look out of your window and tell us the time of day and the temperature. Oh, and naturally where your window is! Thank you and we look forward to all the wonderful views of our world.

Free Port

Here is a very interesting project that Seawalker Joo in Korea is starting. I will let him describe it:

Now this is the time that I talk about Free Port project to you.

Netsgo is one of the ISP and Online service companies in Korea. I decided to start a party on Netsgo OnLine before I try to start a magazine in Korea.

So I am gathering some people on Netsgo Online who are interested in an interchange with netizens all over the World.

---What is the party "Free Port" for?

1. Exchanging e-mails about traditional culture, the culture of young people, information about the internet, news of their countries or the world and so on.

2. Introduce Korean culture to netizens outside of Korea.

3. Introduce cool sites, utilities and programs to download for those who are new to the Internet and don't know their way around.

The party "Free Port" is not a website, it is a small forum in Netsgo Online in Korea. We will have to use E-mail until the homepage is completed. It will take about 3 months to design and complete the "Free Port" home page.

---The management way of "Free Port".

For example, if you want to send a message to members of F.P. in Korea, you send it to me at: Seawalker_Joo@hotmail.com or Seawalker@netsgo.com and I will upload it without your email address to the BBS of F.P.

So, a member will read your message on the BBS, and if someone wants to send you a mail they will send it to me. And I will forward it to you. But if you are O.K with it, I will give your E-mail address to the members. Similar to the EFI classes.

I hope that you join in this Free Port, if you can. Many Korean netizens want to meet the other netizens in the world, but they don't know how to do it. So I would like to help them.

Thank you!!
